GNM confirms partnership with Pirelli and Canaqua

We are very pleased to announce a full factory supported Pirelli tyre deal for our 2005 season commented Team principal Graham Nash today. The deal will encompass all of GNM’s international racing activities this season, including FIA GT, LMES and Le Mans programmes with the Saleens and Porsche GT3RS.

“This partnership will strengthen our efforts in both major championships. On the FIA GT in 2004 we had a good tyre with Dunlop but at some venues we struggled against the Pirelli shod teams even though we knew we had the legs of them in terms of performance and consistency. Now I think we will be on an even playing field”.

Nash continued “Now I think we are bringing a lot to the agreement. We will have 2 very quick and reliable Saleen’s and we have re-signed Paolo Ruberti for the season”.

Paul Hembery, Director of Pirelli Pneumatici added his thoughts “We are delighted to have agreed a collaboration with GNM. The Saleen is a strong contender in GT racing, and together with the experienced GNM team and excellent driver lineup we anticipate a successful and victorious season in 2005″.

Speaking about Ruberti’s team mate in FIA GT Nash added “We are very close to 3 deals for the seat with Paolo. There’s a lot of competition for it and the calibre of the drivers we are talking to as a whole is very good. I expect to finalise deals for both cars this week and next”.

Canaqua and GNM sign watertight deal

Earlier this week on the Autosport International Show the team also announced a new team partner. Canadian Mineral Water company Canaqua have put their full support behind Graham Nash Motorsport for the 2005 season.

Canaqua is a 100 percent natural mineral water product from the coastal mountains of British Columbia, enriched with a high level of calcium and magnesium as wel las other essential minerals. It is a premium bottled water that does not need to go through distillation, deionisation or reverse osmosis, processes of purified water, neither does it need to be carbonated or flavoured.

Delighted with the new partnership, Canaqua’s Linda Samis commented “We are extremely pleased to make this deal with GNM. They are racing globally and such a partnership will aid sales and awareness for our company”. “We have a premier Canadian water for sport and atheletes, supporting a premier racing team”.

Fellow Canaqua partner Al Beesley added “We both believe in this opportunity to be involved with GNM. It will be an invaluable association. GNM are a tremendous team and I am sure the deal will be a success”. Canaqua branding will be evident on the team’s Saleen and Porsche race cars, all team vehicles, all crew members and selected GNM drivers including Paolo Ruberti and Stephen Stokoe, will be utilised to endorse the product.

Speaking on the deal Team Sporting Director Andy Woolgar commented “I am very pleased to have cemented this deal with Linda and Al. I think we will have a very successful working relationship”. “We will be concentrating on helping Canqua’s global sales. I believe the FIA GT and LMES Championships that we are competing in this year, will enable Canaqua to find new markets”.
