Alastair brings with him extensive experience of prototype sportscars and endurance racing. His motorsport career began in the late 1970’s and in 1980 he joined Eddie Jordan Racing.

A successful partnership with Martin Brundle in Formula 3 followed before he moved to TWR Jaguar in the late 1980’s. As Chief Engineer Alastair helped the team to win the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1988 and take 1st and 2nd in 1990. Further endurance racing success followed in 1997 when Alastair engineered the Gulf McLaren GT car which won its class at Le Mans. British GT Championship honours were also collected that year with the same car. Another one/two at Le Mans was to follow in 2003 in his role as Project Manager for the hugely successful Bentley programme.

Ray Mallock commented “We are very pleased to have Alastair on board for our Le Mans and LMES programme this year. From the Group C’s of the 1980’s to the most recent Le Mans winning Bentley Alastair has a wealth of experience which will strengthen our team and help us to achieve our sportscar objectives”.
