Updated Spa LMES entry list — Spyker goes Belgium!

This years edition of the Le Mans Endurance Series, just in its second year, will start with a massive field of cars. The latest list, released by the LMES organisation today, lists 23 prototypes and 29 grand tourism cars, combined a field of no less than 52 cars!

One of the most remarkable additions to the list, in GT2 class, are Dutch team Spyker Squadron with its Spyder version of the C8, driven by Dutchmen Peter van Merkensteijn and Frans Munsterhuis.

In LMP1 class we find, as expected, the Hybrid Jim Gainer Dome and the French Audi R8 of Team Oreca. Also the Hyrid Pescarolo and a second car, powered by Nissan, for Martin Shorts Rollcentre Racing have been added in the top class.


In LMP2 Italian team Scuderia Villorba Corse have entered an Alfo Romeo powered Luchini. The car will be driven by Belgium Sebastien Ugeux and Italians Mauro Prospero and Denny Zardo.

In GT1 A-Level enters a sinlgle 996 Turbo instead of the two cars on the initial list. Added to the list is the Corvette of GLPK racing.

And finaly in GT2, besides the Spyker also German team JP Racing, British Gruppe M and James Watt racing will compete in this class.
