The car underwent its first run since a winter rebuild which saw many changes including a fresh Freisinger powerplant installation.
Having his maiden run in a Porsche GT3RS race car was 2004 Spanish GT Champion Nigel Taylor, who will debut with GNM in the FIA GT series at the season opener in Monza (Italy) next weekend.
“I enjoyed the experience very much. The car handles very well even in the tricky damp conditions experienced today. Overall I felt at ease and I am looking forward to racing it next weekend in Monza” commented Taylor.
Stephen Stokoe also re-aquainted himself with the car that he last raced in China in 2004. “I was very happy with the imporvements and the car feels better than before. The new Moton dampers make a huge difference and I think with the Monza setup the car will be fast”.
On Friday the GNM Saleen #7 gets its maiden test outing of the year with Paolo Ruberti and Joel Camamthias sharing duties and the pair are expected to be joined by LMES pilot Nigel Smith.
