Successful test day for Racing for Holland in South France

Today Racing for Holland had their first track time with the orange Dome S101 at the HTTT circuit in South France. The team is invited to participate in a tire test for Dunlop. Elton Julian got most of the track time to get acquainted with the car and prepare himself for Le Mans.

The quickest time today was set by French team Pescarolo with their Pescarolo C60H. Second were Jim Gainer International with a Dome S101-HB with a Mugen engine fitted. Both these cars are so called hybrids and have a slight advantage with the new Le Mans regulations.

“It just feels great to perform so well after a period of hibernation and to exchange my keyboard for a steering wheel. We tested the car and Dunlop tires for 87 laps without any problems.” said a happy team principle Jan Lammers.

“I am very pleased with Elton’s performance today, his approach was very professional and Elton gave the team valuable feedback. His lap times were good and, most important, very constant. After having done a stint of 15 laps on the 5.752 kilometer long track he was only 7-tenths off his quickest lap. At the end of the day I was able to finish just below Elton’s times by a one-thousands of a second. I would have been happy if his times were mine! All jokes aside, the regulations are not in our advantage so we will need to focus on constant speeds “

John Bosch has other commitments and will come in action with the Dome-Judd S101 next month.
