No Le Mans for Sluszny - plans to come back in 2006 with Maassen

Marc Sluszny of Antwerp, Belgium, has postponed his plan to compete in les 24 Heures du Mans. A late driver change on his announced team for this year’s race led to discussions with several other teams, but he decided against the available opportunities. With the Le Mans test set for June 5, he did not believe the remaining time was sufficient to implement an effective program.

Instead, Sluszny will work with two-time Le Mans GT winner Sascha Maassen of Raeren, Belgium, to prepare for the 2006 race. “Doing Le Mans is one of my highest goals, but it has to be an adventure that is lived together as a team and for the team, rather than an individual performance. For me, the team effort is as important as my personal achievements,” Sluszny said. “Together with Sascha, I believe we can find the right combination for next year.”
