GNM gearing up for Silverstone 1000 kms

Mallory Park based Graham Nash Motorsport are gearing up for the forthcoming Silverstone 1000kms classic, scheduled for August 10-13.

Last year the British team took a fine 3rd place after a gruelling 6 hour race. Drivers David Leslie, Paul Whight and Phil Bennett took the honours on that weekend, scoring the team’s second podium of the season which was followed shortly by another at the Nurburging 1000k’s a few weeks later.

Team Sport Director Andy Woolgar commented “Silverstone last year brings back good memories. We will be aiming to repeat that podium on our home circuit this time around too. Having seen the outcome of the Monza 1000k’s we know we could have done very well there so hopes are high for Silverstone”.

The GNM Saleen’s have enjoyed a very good reliability record so far this season. Also a 4th place in the opening LMES race in Spa underlined the team’s reliability and competetiveless.

He continued “GNM want to prove that we can run up there and in front of the BMS Ferrari’s as we did in Spa and get the results. We are looking for drivers for the Silverstone and Nurburgring races and I am looking at a single race or 2 race package. Currently we are talking to some very good drivers.
