Retrospective look at the LMES Silverstone race
Planetlemans planned to cover the LMES season with Team Jota but unfortunately a severe knee injury, surgery and recovery time meant that after an initial visit to the team before Spa this was the first chance for this reporter to return. Much has happened to Team Jota in the intervening months, elimination from Spa whilst in a podium position by someone elses accident, Coming very close to a great finish at Le Mans and then a second place at Monza.
Team Jota arrived at Silverstone intent on building on the Monza result and Thursday scrutineering passed smoothly. From then on it was a battle firstly against a vibration on the car and then come the race against the elements and driver illness. We hope that these reports provide a little insight into the behind the scenes of an LMES race. We will have a retrospective report on another aspect of Team Jota after the Nurburgring race
