Comeback Victory for Intersport in LMP2

After a a major fire caused extensive damage to Intersport Racing’s Lola/AER at Road America, the team spent the time leading up to the Mosport Labour Day Weekend repairing the car.

The team’s hard work paid off as teammates Liz Halliday and Clint Field took first in LMP2. The victory for Intersport brings their total for the year to five in nine races.

“It’s good to come to Mosport and win after a bad week at Road America,” Field said. “The big thing going into Petit and Laguna is reliability. I think we do have the car to beat. The Miracle car is always pushing. They’re really good on strategy and pit stops. Liz really held close to Jeff and kept us close.”

Miracle Motorsports’ Courage/AER finished second in the LMP2 class, three laps down from Intersport.

The Courage/Mazda of BK Motorsports finished four laps down of the Miracle entry, and seven laps off of the lead.
