The Maserati Corse Maserati MC12 will run for the first time at Petit Le Mans with new restriction specifications.
For the past two rounds, the team had an intake restrictor of 32.6 millimeters specified. Effective for Petit Le Mans, the team will be required to use a 31.8 millimeter intake restriction. The requirement for 38 millimeter refueling restrictor remains unchanged.
The new specifications for Petit Le Mans reflect the sixth revision to the IMSA specifications for the Maserati, and the third change to the intake restrictor. The team has also faced changes in minimum weight and rear wing width.
