Flying Lizard Fifth, Sixth in GT2 at Laguna
Flying Lizard Motorsports qualified fifth and sixth in GT2 for tomorrow’s Monterey Sports Car Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Jon Fogarty qualified the No. 45 Porsche fifth and Lonnie Pechnik qualified sixth in the team’s No. 44 Porsche.
Fogarty commented on his qualifying session, “The No. 45 is close to where we need it to be for race pace. We didn’t have much more left for qualifying but we should be able to maintain this pace for the long haul in tomorrow’s race.”
Teammate Pechnik added, “I wasn’t quite able to maximize my time on the track during the qualifying session today. I am hopeful that tomorrow we’ll be able to make the most out of a relatively fast setup. It’s our final race this year and we all want to end the season on a strong note.”
