Courage Competition today announced their driver line up for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the Courage LC70 – Mugen – Advan n°13 the drivers will be Jean-Marc Gounon (Fra), Shinji Nakano (Jap) and Haruki Kurosawa (Jap) and in the Courage LC70 – Mugen - Advan n °12 the drivers will be
Sam Hancock (UK), Alexander Frei ( CH) and Gregor Fisken (Sco).
Yves Courage: “For the n°13 car the driver line up was known before. With Jean-Marc Gounon, Shinji Nakano and Haruki Kurosawa we have 3 quick drivers who should be able to fight in front. In the n°12 car we are pleased to have Sam Hancock back as we won the LMES LMP2 title together in 2004. Sam gained more experience in 2005 and showed the world that even in a LMP1 he is a very talented driver. Gregor Fisken will be new to the team but from what I saw on the tracks, he’s a driver I like very much as he’s constant and very gentle with all the cars he drove before. Together with Alexander Frei I think we have a perfect mix to have a trouble free race and finish in a good position”.
