DBR9 009: 1st in GT1, 4th overall, 225 laps
DBR9 007: 3rd in GT1 (+ 6 laps), 7th overall, 219 laps

The Le Mans 24 Hours is almost at two-thirds distance, and the Aston Martin Racing DBR9 of Stephane Sarrazin, Stephane Ortelli and Pedro Lamy continues to lead the GT1 class. The car has moved up the overall standings and now lies in fourth place.
The sister car of Tomas Enge, Darren Turner and Andrea Piccini has had an equally effective dawn charge. It lies third in class and seventh overall.

Stephane Sarrazin (009): “The car still feels really good to drive, so you can push hard. I maintained the gap over the 64 car, our nearest rival, throughout my double stint, so I’m happy. The circuit is really dirty, so you need to have maximum concentration at each corner.”

George Howard-Chappell, Team Principal, Aston Martin Racing: “The night phase of the race went well for us. It’s nice to have a 2min30s lead over the 64 car, but I’m puzzled as to why it was so slow in the night and has now picked up its pace again. There’s still a long way to go.”
