After 24 Hours, Audi proved their concept again: TDI-power in the R10 can win races. The #8 Audi R10 (Biela/Pirro/Werner) completed 379 laps and defeated Pescarolo by 5 laps.RML won LMP2 (9th overall) and defeated Binnie Motorsports and Miracle Motorsports by 17 and 19 laps respectively.
A clutch failure allowed the Gavin/Beretta/Magnussen Corvette to pass the 009 Aston Martin and win GT1. The 007 Aston Martin placed second and the Alphand Adventures Corvette Third. A Panoz again won a major endurance race: this time the LNT Panoz. Seikel Motorsports faced late mechanical trouble and dropped to second place. Third place was the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari.
