Race Alliance has announced that Karl Wendlinger and Philipp Peter will be joined by Robert Lechner and Christophe Bouchut for the forthcoming Proximus 24 Hours of Spa. The experienced quartet will share the nr 33 Aston Martin DBR9; they all took part in the test day on July 5th. “I felt very comfortable right from the start, I’m really looking forward to my first assignment, and I’ll do everything that’s possible to make a worthwhile contribution to a successful race result in an event that’s so rich in tradition,” Robert Lechner explained.
As for Christophe, the experienced Aston Martin driver commented: “My first test with RaceAlliance was very interesting since I didn’t know anyone apart from the race engineer. We were not completely satisfied with the setup. It still requires a style of driving that’s overly aggressive - we want to get rid of this before the race. It’s positive that all four drivers think alike. That’s a testament to the harmony within the team.”
