Four Corvettes for Spa

© Planetlemans - Frank Feenstra

Instead of the single Corvette usually competing in the three-hour FIA GT Championship races, the Proximus 24 Hours of Spa should see four representatives of
the American brand - a first for the FIA GT Championship ! Belgian team Renstal Excelsior, which finished 8th overall last year with the Corvette C5R, is entering the car again, this time in the hands of Maxime Soulet and Geoffroy Horion of Belgium, with David Hart of the Netherlands and British driver Chris Buncombe.
Then PSI Experience will race two cars, a Corvette C6R and a Corvette C5R. Drivers will include Jos Menten from the Netherlands, Frederic Bouvy from Belgium, 2001 FIA GT Champion Jean-Philippe Belloc, and French GT Champion Patrick Bornhauser in the C6, while the C5 will be drive by two Finnish drivers, Pertti Kuismanen and Markus Palttala, and two Belgians, Bernard Dehez and Vincent Radermecker. PSI enters both these cars in the French GT Championship, where Palttala and Kuismanen are currently lying third.
