Phoenix adds Lemeret to Spa line-up

Phoenix Racing has announced that Belgian driver Stéphane Lemeret will be joining Andrea Piccini, Jean-Denis Deletraz and Marcel Fässler in the nr 5 Aston Martin DBR9 for the Proximus 24 Hours of Spa. “We won the 24 Hours race at the Nürburgring, but with Spa we are entering new ground,” team manager Dirk Theimann explained. “But preparations are on time, and the test two weeks ago was OK. We have a homogenous team, and I have a dream !”
This will be Lemeret’s tenth 24-hour race at Spa. “I am firmly convinced that with a bit of luck, we can be at the front,” he said. Lemeret has plenty of FIA GT experience; he raced for Zwaan’s Racing in 2004, and for GPC at Brno and in last year’s Proixmus 24 Hours of Spa.
