AF Corse 59 excluded - Bobbi and Melo claim title

The nr 59 AF Corse Ferrari 430 GT2 of Mika Salo and Rui Aguas, which finished second in today’s race, has been excluded due to the ride height of the car not being in conformity with the regulations. The team has not appealed the decision. This means that Edil Cris moves up to second, while JMB GruppeM’s nr 55 car inherits third.
Furthermore, as Salo and Aguas were the only drivers who could catch Bobbi and Melo, the drivers of the nr 58 car have now claimed the 2006 FIA GT2 Drivers Championship.
