FIA GT3/GT4/ADAC GT Masters Monza test - Day 1

On the first day of the official FIA GT3/FIA GT4 and ADAC GT Masters test at Monza the #4 Trackspeed Porsche 997 GT3 Cup was the fastest of all the cars that came into action today. The Porsche set a lap time of 1:55.895 in the final session of the day.

The second time of the day was also set by a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, in this case a Tech 9 car setting a 1:56.103 in the second session. Third overall on the timing sheets was the Martini Callaway Corvette Z06R GT3 that clocked a 1:56.161 in the third session.
Next to the already known Porsches, Ferrari’s, Corvettes, Lamborghini’s and Aston Martins the Ford Mustang FR500 GT and Jaguar XKR made their debut in the international racing scene. Unfortunately Apex Motorsport had a troubled day when they were forced to sit out the Thursday test sessions after the new Jaguar experienced starter problems.

Tomorrow another three sessions will take place and Christophe Bouchut, the official FIA GT3 test driver, will take the wheel of each car in order to work on the balance performances with the GT Bureau.
