RSV wants to move up positions in Brands Hatch

© RSV Motorsport

RSV Motorsport arrives in United Kingdom to attend the fifth test of the International GT Open in the traditional circuit of Brands Hatch. The Spanish team is going to face the British test with a lot of excitement after the great results from last international meetings. Because of the second position obstained in Oschersleben RSV’s drivers must have a handicap of 15 seconds during the first race.
The fact that the track is unfamiliar should not be a problem for the RSV members, as they have demonstrated a quick ability to adapt themselves to new circuits."Brands Hatch is another new circuit for the team and we must adapt ourselves as fast as possible. It is a circuit with a lot of history and as we have seen in television it attracts a lot of public, so it is going to be very nice to be there",- says Domingo Romero while he prepares himself for the British meeting. On the other hand, Peter Sundberg has said: "I know the Indy track from a test I did in Formula Ford and I’m looking forward to know the GP circuit. And I hope I can jump to the podium again."

With the Brands Hatch race the RSV team begins three weeks which are full of work. They have a meeting in the circuit of Cheste first and in the circuit of Monza a week later, ready for a new GT Open meeting.

At first the circuit of Brands Hatch used to be a military training field for the British army, and during the Second World War it had several aerial attacks which finally destroyed it. In 1959 the 2,65 miles circuit was made and between 1964 and 1986 became the scene for many great Formula 1 victories. Important people from the motoring like Jim Clark, Jack Brabham, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda and Nigel Mansell have won there.
