James Watt Automotive (JWA) is pleased to announce they have purchased an Aston Martin Vantage GT2 with which to contest the full 2008 Le Mans Series (LMS). Initially JWA will use the Aston Martin development car for the first two rounds in Barcelona and Monza, whilst awaiting delivery of the new car.

Team Principal James Watt commented, “We have been in negotiation with Aston Martin Racing (AMR) for some time and can only give credit to the professionalism and integrity of AMR who have supported us at every turn. We will have Aston Martin Racing built chassis number 3 and are keen to mount a serious challenge to the leaders of the GT2 class – I am sure we will. We are not in a position to announce drivers as yet but will be testing a number of drivers in the coming weeks to put a strong line up in place for 2008. After a full seasons development JWA will be ideally placed to mount a serious bid for the GT2 championship title in 2009”.

James Watt concluded, “We view this as the beginning of a long term partnership with AMR and will be expanding and developing the co-operation over the next years”. 2008 sees the fourth season of LMS racing for JWA who have entered a two-car team for the season.
