Phoenix Carsport enters two Corvette C6Rs in FIA GT

Phoenix Carsport have confirmed their plans for the 2008 season in the FIA GT Championship. For this years season, Phoenix Carsport will see the addition of both a second C6R Corvette as well as 2 new drivers.

For the 001 chassis (raced last year in the FIA GT), Marcel Fässler and Jean Denis Delatraz will make up an all Swiss lineup. For the second car (chassis 005 from the 2007 ALMS season) will be Mike Hezemans and Fabrizio Gollin.

GMAC have also announced that they will be partnering the team as one of the main sponsors.

  1. Wasn’t chassis 005 the one that crashed heavily at Petit Le Mans?

  2. Yes, 005 crashed at petit. The chassis should be ok if it is being sold. I am counting down the days for the new FIA GT season!

  3. good to see the germans back to FIA GT, of course they were here last year helping Carsport Holland, but this one, is bigger, 2 C6.R and a 2 strong pairs of drivers, they are strong favourites for GT1
