Our very own Sportscar expert, Gabriel Portos was a guest on the latest Tour Podcast - for Fans of Global Motorsport. You will have read many articles written by Gabriel here on PLM but now you can hear him talk to me as we discuss the latest news from around the globe.

Recent announcements from Peugeot are on the agenda. Gabriel notes that “Peugeot are out of the ‘we are here to learn mode’ and they are now here to win” as the French lions prepare to start their season long battle with Audi at the ALMS season opener at Sebring. The interview was recorded last Friday and Gabriel was finally able to tell The Tour listeners that the Epsilon Euskadi Coupe’s “Do exist”. A subject that has been under much debate on forums during the winter and has since been confirmed this week with Epsilon Euskadi entering 2 Coupe’s in the LMS and one for the 24 Heures Du Mans in the LMP1 catergory. We look at some of the other teams such as Charouz Racing and Speedy Sebah who will also be running Coupe’s this year.

GT2 is also under discussion as Si and Gabriel look at the recent launch from BMW and the growing pressure on Porsche to perform in that category (as seen in a recent article on PLM). Gabriel lends his technical expertise as he answers a listener’s email regarding the promotion of the Ford GT, Dodge Viper and Aston Martin DBRS9 to GT2.

We also look back at the great career of Derek Bell that seems to have finally come to an end at Daytona recently and much much more as I am joined by regular David Cooke to look at rest of the Motorsport stories in recent weeks.
