Earlier this week when Selleslagh Racing Team confirmed its FFSA GT and FIA GT plans for 2008 the team also confirmed its old racing car, the Corvette C5-R, would be entered in the FIA GT by AT-Racing. More details about the team were announced today as the team confirmed its participation in the FIA GT Citation Cup.
Alexander Talkanitsa, who was born in Belarus and currently resides in Austria, started the team, which is officially registered as AT-Racing Gmbh. Last season Talkanitsa competed in the Czech Endurance championship, where he raced the Renauer Motorsport Porsche 996.
For this season Talkanitsa will move up into the FIA GT where he will once again team up with the Renauer Motorsport team. Sepp Renauer will be the manager of AT-Racing and his engineers will support the team.
Talkanitsa will be joined by a FIA GT and Renauer Motorsport regular, Wolfgang Kaufmann. Kaufmann raced for Renauer Motorsport in several FIA GT championship races in 2005 and 2006. The first time they share the car in an official session will be during the FIA GT test days at Monza on March 13th and 14th. This is also the place where the car wil be seen in its new livery for the first time.
