I’m sorry lads,but this 88 mil is allready vanished in old depts and financial recovery of the factory…
If anything was gained from the F1 debacle,it is a bit of publicity. Too bad it was mostly negative.

I hope this new car will do well. I remember Le Mans 2006 when they led the GT2 race for a long time…
The new one looks as though it might do that again.

Rick glad you see it my way. Whatever exposure they gained in F1, the resources they spent there would have yielded better results in GT racing.
I think they should go into GT1 in the ALMS with the C12 Zagato. Less competition. With a solid sponsor they could have a string of podiums to brag about. $$$

The 88 Million will of course helped fund development, but they are still a way off the Porsches and Ferraris and when the inevitable appearance of BMW M3 arrive in europe, thats when Spyker will prove if its ready to win the LMS and Le Mans.

Indeed a very nice car. Improvements made on several areas.

Let’s hope it’s ready to compete on top level.

Regarding their formula 1 project which turned out dissapointed last year. May i remind that they have sold the F1 Team for 88 M Euro, which they have committed to put into production and development of future cars.

I think the brand name grew in popularity due to their short F1 adventure.

Will the Speedy Spyker have Dunlop tires? I miss the targa body but C8 Laviolette GT2R should work better.

There will be 2 Spyker cars at LeMans One Spyker and One for the Swiss Speedy team. In LMS there will be 3 cars in total (2 Spyker Squadron cars).
Only 2 driver line-ups are presented in Geneva; the LeMans line-ups (?).
Will there be a Dutch line up voor the 3rd (LMS) Spyker car?

I think the car shown in Geneva (Switzerland …) is the Swiss Speedy car, although in features a Dutch flag on the richt door and a Swiss flag on the left. There is a collection of Speedy and Spyker sponsors on the car. So perhaps the Spyker factory cars will show a different livery (although Spyker is partly owned by Snoras and Blue en Yellow are the Snoras Bank colours).

Still a lot of questions unanswered…

I’m not sure that the F1 project will work out that badly in the long term. How many people have heard of Spyker now than before their F1 adventure? I’m no advocate of the costs or approach of Formula 1 but I can see the PR gained from the experience could be beneficial.

The colour scheme does indeed look excellent but it is a pity that without the RfH car or the orange Spykers, there’ll be a bit of Dutch appearance missing from the field.

If they had focused on sports cars all along instead of pouring cash into their blackhole F1 project they might have been further along the development of their sports car program. With all that (now lost) cash they could have had the development necessary to earn a podium last year .

Now it seems they’re thinking well.

that spyker looks awesome. it looked cool in dutch orange and black but even better in blue and yellow. its even got a marvellous obscure sponsor, hope its there at sunrise at le mans 08.
