Audi quickest in final practice at Sebring

The final practice session saw the Audi R10 of Capello/McNish/Kristensen on top again, this time with a gap of just over a second on the Peugeot 908 of Minassian/Sarrazin/Lamy. The #1 Audi R10 managed to set a lap time of 1:43.195, 1.076s ahead of the French opposition and almost two seconds ahead of the second Audi.

In LMP2 Team Penske restored the order by taking the first and second place in the class. Dumas/Bernhard/Collard in the #7 Porsche RS Spyder were quickest in 1:45.220, with the sister car of Maassen/Long/Briscoe 0.779s behind in second place. The #20 Dyson Racing Spyder of Franchitti/Leitzinger/Lally completed a Porsche RS Spyder top three in this session.

O’Connell/Magnussen/Fellows were quickest in GT1, their #3 Corvette C6.R was less than three tenths of a second quicker than the #4 Corvette. The quickest time this session set by the #3 was 1:56.269, while the other Corvette set a 1:56.547. Bell Motorsport managed to get its Aston Martin DBR9 back on the track and its fastest lap time was 2:00.730.

Ferrari scored a 1-2 in practice, with the lead Risi Competizione Ferrari 430 GT #62 of Melo/Salo/Bruni the quickest one in a time 2:01.184, ahead of the #71 Tafel Racing Ferrari which recorded a 2:01.800. Quickest Porsche was the #45 Flying Lizard Motorsports car. The lead Lizards car set a time of 2:01.831.
