After running a Porsche 996 GT3 RSR in the 2005 FIA GT season for Luca Moro and Wolfgang Kaufmann and several other Porsches in series like the Mediagroep Van Dyck Belcar Championship and the Dutch Supercar Challenge in recent years Lammertink Racing has a new car to run for the 2008 season, a brand new Porsche 997 GT3 RSR.
Dutch Supercar Challenge driver Biense Dijkstra, who made his racing debut last year with Lammertink Racing in a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup, thought it was time for a bigger car and decided to buy a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR, to be run by the Lammertink Racing team.
The car recently arrived at Lammertink Racing & Engineering and will be prepared for the upcoming season. The first tests are planned for later this month, with Assen the most likely circuit to test the new Porsche. Biense Dijkstra will certainly be racing himself, with a second driver yet to be announced. The team is planning to start in the Dutch Supercar Challenge with entries in other endurance series and 24 hour races also possible.
At the moment the car is still all-white, but the proposed livery, which can be seen here looks rather good.
Planetlemans will bring more news about the first Dutch based Porsche 997 GT3 RSR when it becomes available.
