Spaniard rising star Adrián Vallés can drive for Epsilon Euskadi in the next 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 21-year-old is a top GP2 contender with BCN Competición team, and a former World Series by Renault championship runner-up.
Vallés will make his debut driving the ee1 LMP1 next Sunday at Le Mans official test day. Being a rookie driver in the mythic race, he must complete ten laps at La Sarthe to be qualified. With Adrian on board, Epsilon Euskadi can play the 100% Spanish line-up option in one of their cars with him sharing the cockpit with Ángel Burgueño and Miguel Angel de Castro.
Joan Villadelprat, President of Epsilon, commented:” We´re very happy to count on Adrian for such special event for us. We´re delighted to offer to such a talented young driver a unique opportunity to be part of the Spanish motorsport and Epsilon´s history. I want to thank very much Enrique Scalabroni and Jaime Pintanel, BCN principals, for their understanding of the great scope of this opportunity for Adrián allowing him to skip the next GP2 test in Paul Ricard, that take place in incompatible dates with the Le Mans program.”
An euphoric Adrián Vallés commented: “It’s a dream. 24 Hours of Le Mans is a myth. Is the battlefield of many of the most glorious and epic episodes in motorsport. For sure, this is one of the greatest opportunities in my career.”
This is good news. Adrian is mega and the Epsilon Euskadi deserves the best. Viva Espana!
Great news for the team. Good luck guys!
