He's not on pace with the other drivers. In a factory team you have to be somewhat close to your teammates. There are probably 50 drivers right now writing to Dr Ulrich that they can do Biela's job better. With their young guns (Rocky, Luhr and Premat) on pace in the R10 he has become more expandable. And of course they have a dozen or so DTM drivers to choose from. If you watch DTM you know how seriously good any of those guys are. Even when Biela subs in for a DTM driver he's usually towards the back of the pack. Last year he was a reserve driver and was only signed on to drive LeMans and sebring. They only brought him back this year because of their double programme in the ALMS and LMS. Biela doesn’t have his “mojo” anymore. He’s not on pace with the other drivers.
