It was a golden era for many, the time of Ford, Ferrari and Porsche battling it at the highest level. Legendary cars like the GT40, the 917 or the 330P3 and 4 raised the bar very very high…so high that the rules had to be changed drastically for 1972 leaving the 1966-1971 as a unique, unforgettable period at Le Mans. Maiden overall victories for Ford and Porsche and the twilight of Ferrari at Le Mans mark a very emotional period of Endurance racing.
At Le Mans Classic we had a very complete sample of the period: Porsche 908 and 917, Ferrari 330 and 512, Lola T70s as well as the GT40s and an armada of Mustang and Corvette GTs. The unmissable 911s, Ferrari Daytonas and Chevrons were also there with some unique complements like the Howmet Turbine car and the ever-wonderful Alpines. A new grid for you to enjoy with Planetlemans.
