Just under six hours to go, which means we have completed 75% of the race. The podium seems far away for the Corvete but more in range for the two Maserati’s and the Gigawave car, but let’s not jinx them. A lot can happen in between now and the finish.

10:01- For now Lieb is on the same lap as Ruberti. But the Porsche has made 2 pit stops less.

10:03- Lieb is in for a pit stop.

10:15- Phoenix Corvette still suffering from engine misfires. The team has so far changed three parts: ACU, left bank ignition coil, lambda sensors. But it does not seem to work yet.

10:17- A slow car at the La Source hairpin…

10:21- After the Prospeed pit stop early on Collard has gotten behind the wheel of the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR. He is still a lap down on the class leader. But it is not over yet.

10:29- Gigawave Aston in for its 18th pit stop.

10:32- Official retirement for the Trackspeed Porsche

10:35- Simonsen has come in again, small fire to be extinguished and out it goes again.

11:06- We’ve been off for half an hour. But be assured, nothing happened. Vitaphone is still 1-2, BMS is still ahead of Prospeed and the Mühlner cars are still leading G3.

11:12- Drama!!! Fabrizio Gollin turns into the pit lane but the moment he enters the pit lane flames shoot out of the car. The pit entry is blocked, the car is wrecked. The front end of the Corvette is severely damaged.

11:17- A black engine in the front of the car…is this another retirement? And the last bit of excitement has gone out of the GT1 race it seems.

11:20- First Motorsport Porsche GT3 in the box, damage to the front.

11:26- Serious rear end damage for the Scuderia Ecosse. It comes into pit and straight into the box.

11:39- Aucott in the pit box. The JMB Racing Maserati has moved into fourth after the problems for the Phoenix Corvette.

11:49- With the carnage in GT1 continuing the first three GT2 cars are now fifth, sixth and seventh.

11:54- At Phoenix the mechanics are working hard on the car.
