Ten hours have gone by. Just before the end of the last hour one of the AF Corse Ferraris went off bringing out the safety car. At the moment the Maserati’s are still leading the race with BMS Scuderia Italia on top in GT2. Back to the track.

02:06-(SC) The marshalls are clearing the track at turn 14.

02:12-(SC) Still behind the safety car…

02:13-(SC) And the Ascari that was apparently in the pit box has rejoined the race.

02:18-(SC) Work still going on at Blanchimont where tyres are pushed onto the barrier to repair the damage.

02:25-(SC) Still behind the safety car…hopefully not for long anymore.

02:27-(SC) Lights not out yet on the safety car. The temperature has gone down to 18 degrees centigrade.

02:28-(SC) The safety car has now switched its lights off. Just as Peter Kox has gone into the pit.

02:31- All sectors green flag!

02:33- And the JMB Racing Maserati has spun at Les Combes…but rejoins.

02:42- Even though Sarrazin is far in the lead he is still lapping the quickest of the GT1 cars.

02:48- Sarrazin and Pierguidi still leading. Nothing is really happening here.

02:53- Pierguidi is in the pit lane. Negrao will take over from him.

02:54- Kurt Mollekens has gone off at turn 18. But he also put the PK Saleen back on track.

02:58- For those that are still awake (we are sort of, just lacking some food). First overall is Vitaphone #1, second is Vitaphone #2, third is Gigawave #10. In GT2 it is the #77 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari, second is Prospeed Porsche #61 and third is the #50 AF Corse Ferrari. Muhlner Motorsport #123 is leading G3, 13th overall and G2…let’s not discuss that.

03:03- The McDonald’s Racing Porsche (G2 class) has stopped at Les Combes.

03:06- It is that time of the night…Signa Motorsport Viper in to the gravel at turn 7, one corner away from the McDonald’s Porsche.

03:07- Of course yellow flags there…

03:09- Yellow flags at Blanchimont…

03:10- Juniper Racing in the gravel trap at turn 14! And the McDonald’s Racing car is back on track.

03:11- Juniper is back

03:15- McDonald’s Racing Porsche slow after Stavelot. And the 116 Viper has been removed from the track…

03:16- Sarrazin is in the pit box. The Viper has been abandoned…engine failure. Another retirement.

03:17- And yellow flags at turn 6 now. Someone in the gravel at Les Combes?

03:18- Yes, but it is back on track.

03:23- There was a lost bumber on the track in turn 3, which has already been removed.

03:25- Gollin, Ferte and Mollekens all in for a pitstop.

03:27- Monfardini in GT2 does the same.

03:29- Car 62 gets a rear light warning.

03:31- Malucelli, leader in GT2, goes in for a stop.

03:32- Westbrook did the same, he is back on the track again.

03:38- Mollekens’ car abandons in the pit lane. No reason known yet.

03:47- No real surprises now. Lieb goes for a pitstop….and he’s gone again.

03:50- GT2’s currenty in 7th up to 11th position overall.

03:59- Not much happening. The Vitaphone cars have a clear lead over the rest of the field as we approach the half way point
