Fassler fastest in free practice at Brno

A cold but bright morning saw the FIA GT teams and drivers take to the Brno circuit for the first time this season. After a few spins in the first minutes, the session got properly underway. In the nr 5 Phoenix Carsport Racing Corvette Z06, Marcel Fässler set the fastest time of 1:53.111.

Second fastest with a lap time of 1:53.418 was Karl Wendlinger in the nr 33 Jetalliance Racing Aston Martin DB9. In the nr 3 SRT Corvette Z06, Christophe Bouchut set the third best lap time of 1:53.679.

In GT2, Fabrizio Del Monte and Henri Moser claimed their best result so far, setting the fastest lap time this session: 1:58.633, in the nr 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari F430. Tim Mullen, in the nr 55 CR Scuderia Ferrari F430, set the second best time, with a lap of 1:59.055 on a track he particularly enjoys. Third fastest, with a lap time of 1:59.300, was Toni Vilander and Gianmari Bruni in the nr 50 AF Corse Ferrari F430.
