FIA GT debut for Davison with Prospeed Competition

© DPPI

With Emmanuel Collard unavailable for the Nogaro round, his place in the nr 61 Prospeed Competition Porsche 997 GT3 RSR will be taken by Alex Davison. The Australian, who recently finished second in the Le Mans Series, has plenty of Porsche experience, mainly in various Porsche Carrera Cup competitions around the world.

This will be his FIA GT debut. “It is always a nice surprise to be invited to do a race which I hadn’t planned on doing so I am really looking forward to my first FIA GT race,” he commented. “Unfortunately I don’t know the circuit at all so with the limited track time in practice, that is going to be a bit tricky, but luckily I am familiar with the GT3 RSR so hopefully it won’t take me too long to learn the track and get on the pace.

Richard and Manu have been having an unlucky run of late but have been really fast so hopefully we can have a good weekend, to help Richard move up in the championship points a bit.”
