Quifel-ASM to race a Ginetta-Zytek 09S in 2009
Quifel-ASM, one of the leading LMP2 teams in the Le Mans Series, has become the first customer for the Ginetta-Zytek 09S, as Zytek Engineering’s latest car is to be called. Developed from the already impressive Zytek 07S, the 09S will feature a revised aero package and will be powered by a new version of the 2007 Le Mans class winning, 3.4-litre Zytek ZG348 engine. Creation and AIM dissolve partnership
Creation Autosportif Limited and AIM Company Limited of Japan have decided to end their partnership after two years of working together. Midway through a four-year partnership programme agreed in 2006, an arrangement was agreed that will enable both companies to pursue independent courses into 2009 and beyond.[…]
AIM to supply engines to Team ORECA in 2009/10
After crossing the first hurdle in its Le Mans Challenge in 2008 the ORECA Team has been doing a lot of work to move up to a new level next season. While the design office is busy concentrating on the aerodynamic and mechanical aspects of the car the Var-based team has received the backing of a new engine partner. CR Scuderia: Frustration at Zolder
The CRS Ferrari of Andrew Kirkaldy and Rob Bell failed to finish round nine of the FIA GT Championship at Zolder today after being taken off at the start of the two-hour race. Tim Mullen and James Sutton, in the sister CRS Ferrari salvaged sixth place after yesterday’s qualifying disasters which saw them start in ninth place today. Podium finish for Corsa Motorsports at Laguna
In just its second start with the Zytek 07S, Corsa Motorsports grabbed a spot on the LMP1 podium in Saturday evening’s Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca. The Salt-Lake City-based race team finished third in class with drivers Stefan Johansson and Johnny Mowlem sharing the driving duties during the four-hour event. FIA GT - Zolder Race Report
The spectators in Zolders were presented with a great show this afternoon as the FIA GT race was one with a lot of action both on and off the track. Even before the race started there was some turmoil as the grid was changed on several places with the most important change the Jetalliance Aston on pole after the Gigawave Aston was given a grid-penalty.[…]
