The LAVAGGI LS1 – AER, built by the Monegasque team bearing the same name, is taking part in the final endurance race of the 2008 season, the famous 6 Hours of Vallelunga, displaying the colours of the Principally of Monaco.
Having been in the top spots in both free practice sessions already, Giovanni Lavaggi clinched Pole Position in the afternoon qualify putting in a time of 1 min 26.77 seconds, an advantage of 0,6 seconds against his closest rival.
Giovanni Lavaggi: Finally, our efforts are showing progress. This first pole position with a car that I have designed and built is an excellent first result. This week-end, we will try to win, because it is my dream to revive the myth of the drivers-constructors who have written the history of automobile racing. Please keep your fingers crossed to help us to succeed in the tomorrow 6 Hours race.
I’m glad he is still racing that LMP1 machine.
“we will try to win, because it is my dream to revive the myth of the drivers-constructors who have written the history of automobile racing”
