I second all the complaints about road racing coverage, but I also agree that we will keep finding outlets besides the networks. Road racing has an audience in the U.S., and while we can't compete with Nascar, we can't be ignored. Versus is stepping up to handle a few more races this year. And if all we can get is netcasts for now ... I will watch netcasts. If anyone finds a site showing this please do post it here.

I watched 2008 24hrs of Le Mans while Speed was showing Craftman Trucks and ARCA via the net and Eurosports' wall to wall coverage. Besides laggy net connections it was more than watchable. Also Corvette Racing had it via a live feed. Since Jet Alliance will be there, maybe GT Live will have it. One of these days we won't be just limited to what our sat and cable providers want to show us... Ummm look around the net the time of the race, somebody might tunnel it. We need to chat up all our friends and contacts in a search for alternatives. I know the economy sucks right now in Europe as well as USA, but perhaps someone out there is ready to take a risk with the view of earning a reward when the business cycle improves. Remember, some years ago ESPN carried almost every road racing event in the US until Speedvision took the market from them. It can be done again.
