Changes to the Dutch GT4 Championship calendar

Dutch GT4 - ZandvoortAs we reported earlier the RACB (Royal Automobile Club of Belgium) cancelled the GT4 participation during the Le Mans Series weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. Fortunately the RACB has given the Dutch GT4 teams another chance to race at Spa, during the 24 Hours weekend.

As a result the calendar of the 2009 Dutch GT4 Championship has been changed. After dropping the early May weekend the championship will now race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on July 24-25! Rather than racing with the GT3 cars, as planned for the Le Mans Series Spa weekend, the Dutch GT4 teams will race with the GT4 European Cup on the Belgian circuit on the weekend the FIA GT Championship will race their annual 24 hours race.

The new calendar:

  • April 13 – Zandvoort, The Netherlands
  • June 1 – Zandvoort, The Netherlands
  • July 5 – Assen, The Netherlands
  • July 24-25 – Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
  • August 2 – Zandvoort, The Netherlands
  • September 6 – Zandvoort, The Netherlands
  • October 11 – Zandvoort, The Netherlands
