After taking second in the opening round of the 2009 Le Mans Series, JMW Motorsport head to Round Two in high & fighting spirit. The second race of the season takes place at one of the world’s most famous race tracks and a firm favourite of the drivers – Spa Francorchamps. Both Rob and Gimmi cite it as one of their favourite locations and will be looking to take JMW’s Dunlop yellow Ferrari F430 to the head of the competitive LMGT2 class.

Winding through the beautiful Ardennes Forest, you find yourself as much in competition with the undulating circuit as your competitors! With such famous sections as Eau Rouge and Le Source Hairpin, the 7kms circuit always favours the brave. Famed for unpredictable weather, it can feel like summer at one of the circuit and winter at the other end!

Spa is a popular destination for fans who are certain to be entertained every minute of the 6 hours of racing in this year’s LMS 1000kms. However, if you aren’t fortunate enough to be at Spa in the flesh there are more ways than ever to keep in touch, including JMW’s new text service.

For those in the UK who are on the move whilst JMW are on track, we can now bring our news direct to your mobile phone. You can subscribe to JMWSPORT2U for news flashes and information direct to your mobile phone. Simply text JMWSPORT2U to subscribe. It only costs 98p to subscribe, and thereafter 25p a text (max of £3.50 a month) and you can unsubscribe at anytime. As aforementioned this service is currently only available for UK mobile phone users.

Eurosport will be broadcasting the start and finish of the race on Sunday, with broadcast times on our TV coverage page. For those who will be spending the day on the internet there will be live timing on the LMS website but for special JMW Motorsport updates don’t forget to drop by our Facebook and Twitter pages which we will be updating during the race.

Feeling Creative?

There’s just a few days left to get your entry into the Dunlop Art Car Competition (DACC) to design the livery JMW Motorsport will sport at the Le Mans 24 Hour race this year. The competition is open to entrants from the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal with regional finalists from each country. Three national winners will be elected by an expert jury, a fourth winner will be the one that has received the most votes from the public. Between 14th May and May 30th these 20 will be whittled down to just 4, all of whom will attend the Le Mans race to find out who has won at the grand unveiling.

So what are you waiting for? Click here to enter. Or if you’re not feeling artistic you can still win a new set of Dunlops by voting for your favourite design.
