There is already a Le Mans Series.

Le Mans has a heritage of great racing throughout each class. Why cut the GT1 & GT2 from a series they’ve been involved in for how many years now?!?! Why do it now?? No one will watch LMP cars all 24 Heures. How boring, 2 classes & almost every car will look the same. Le Mans & Sports car racing in general will suffer much worse than the economy right now if this were to happen (LMP only).

Variety is stronger than a spec series.

Too bad I’m only here for a couple of weeks. What's disappointed to me it the split race, it should only be one race. I think it will be great exposition for the sport and I believe Asian teams will start getting involved; it looks like this country is taking over. Le Mans should be all over the world.
