Why are Pesca and Pug together, and Audi and Kolles are not?
Hmm, is ACO discrimination the Audi’s?.
They placed the Audi team a bit away from Kolles, where Peugeot and Pescarolo is right next to each other!
Also, Peugeot got a Pit boxes so they want be bothered by other teams!, where Audi Sport is surrounded by smaller teams! (and there for more likely to get problems by cars in the way!, like Peugeot had in 2007)
Audi has won this race overall 8 times I think they can handle it for this race and the other Audi team, they haven’t even give the Aston martin team a run for there money yet, its going to be Peugeot vs Audi vs Aston Martin I think.

If Audi have their usual last 3 boxes in the main Grandstand, as has been the case since 2000 then this will no doubt suit them. I suspect the Kolles Audi had little choice, as they have not competed before and are a privateer Team. Pescarolo have been down the other end mainly and it seems that boxes 1 and 2 are the other 2 prime boxes, as Bentley had these (when they won) and Peugeot have them this time.
peugeot vs audi but if one of those to make a mistake aston will be right on their tail a predidcted 3rd for aston cme on ginetta and aston!!!
AMR is going to need some luck. The rules are in favor of the 908, and also thr R15.
All I can say is, keep the cars out of the pits as much as possible.
If the COA does nothing to the rules, between petrol/diesel, I fear that teams like AMR and Oreca will go back to GT Class, or go else wear.
The three Audi R15s are indeed at one end of the grandstand, with Peugeot on the other end.
I note the two Ginettas are together…
I am new on this post!
I wonder whate times will b like between the Audi and Peugeot!? I am an Audi fan! The Audi is lighter ans more aerodynamic than the R10 but with 50hp less, do you think it will be in the 3:25.000 time around the track!?
I also wonder with less power in the P1 class audi chould have 2-3 lap advantage over Peugeot at the most now with a smaller less powerful engine! I want 2 c the true lap times between the Audi and Peugeot in the dry! I pray audi finally gets pole!
Peugeot is giving factory support to Pescarolo. You might see mechanics in Peugeot uniforms working on the Pescarolo 908, just like mechanics in Gulf uniforms worked on the Charouz Lola Aston in 2008.
To illustrate the 3 P1 Astons and the Drayson teams are together, The Oreca and IMSA teams are together, Luc Alphand and Corvette racing as well as a few others…
On the other hand, Audi is not giving factory support to Kolles, strictly client/vendor relationship. Hence their lack of performance and them not being close to each other. If they had support Audi would have made sure they were at least podium contenders in the LMS.
Glad to see the JLOC team back. They should ask to “lease” the IPB Spartak car for the race, since the Russian team pulled out.
If not hopefully they have a new or updated chassis. The Murcielago has come a long way since 2006 (when they first got theirs)
I can’t wait to see the livery on the JLOC, AMR Easter Europe, and Pesca Peugeot cars. Usually I would watch the race to see the AMR vs. Corvette Racing battle, but that’s gone. Hell, we might even see a Corvette 1,2,3,4!
BTW..GO ASTON MARTIN RACING!!!! BEAT THE DIESELS!
i actually hope Audi has better straight line speed than Peugeot or at least consistant lap times!
What do you think the P1 class final qualifycation will look like!?
I reckon Aston Martin might spring a suprise…that’s what I’m hoping anyway! The car looked very quick top end at Spa, so should be quick on the Mulsanne.
If Aston Martin can spring a surprise, nobody is talking about the P1 Pescarolo. That’s a dark horse, It has a bigger gas tank than the diesels and from the two LMS races it has the pace to go with the Astons.
