Planetlemans photographer Gerlach Delissen happened to be near the Dunlop Bridge during the 13th hour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Just as he was there Team LNT’s Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S went off and caught fire.
Here are some of the images of the car (and driver) on fire just after coming to an end in front of the grandstand near the Dunlop Bridge.

Strewth. I don;t remember hearing much about this. Jake and I were down at Porsche Curves all night…
There was no coverage of this accident/fire on Speed TV that I saw. Wow!
It’s hardly there first time gtrwarnock, they Won the GT2 class in 2006.
The world feed didn’t catch it apparently, so Speed wouldn’t have had the shot. I must have just missed it, too, since I walked past a couple of Ginetta mechanics in the spectators enclosure as they went looking for their car.
Correctimondo Kyle, oh how I miss that original tangerined Panoz machine, hee hee…
