what about the AF Corse entry, the Italian team will have Jaime Melo, Mika Salo and Pierre Kaffer ? in last years Ferrari factory drivers at Risi Competizione joined the team for the Spa 24 Hours.

What do people think the chances of Chad Racing turning up to this is? Would be nice to have an English team running 1 of my favourite GT cars to support.

Totally agree with you Connor, it’s unique. Friends and I have been going for the last seven years and never regretted a Euro of it – it’s way cheaper to attend than Le Mans. My beautiful wife even confessed to not actually having hated it last year !

Problem is it’s expensive for the teams, which is presumably the main reason for it not featuring in the 2009 plans of any of the Aston Martin teams ? There are rumours of a possible Aston GT1 conversion kit for 2010/11, but only if there is a customer market of course.

For this year, how good would it be if the Reiter Engineering, Drayson Racing, and Hexis Racing teams were to make late entries for their Lambos and GT2 Astons ? We can dream……….

Man I wish there was a way to watch this event in the US, this is actually one of my favorite events in the world, period. Right up there with Le Mans and 24 Nurb. It’s unique just like nurb since there are no prototypes, and there is just plain something about Spa that emits prestige just as much as the Sarthe.
