Further to the engine problems which saw the nr 61 Prospeed Porsche excluded from Oschersleben, which has been appealed by the team, the GT Bureau has annonced that from Budapest, the GT Bureau members accept the Porsche’s proposal to allow the use of steel sleeves in the engine for the rest of the 2009 season on condition that a weight of 30 kg be added.

This proposal is unanimously accepted by all of the manufacturers entering GT2 cars in the Championship concerned.

These 30kg are over and above any decision which may be taken concerning the minimum weight of the cars within the framework of the balance of performance.

The Oschersleben and Spa GT2 results are still provisional pending appeal.

  1. They are just taking back the weight reduction they gave them for free at the start of the season, quote FIA

    ” Porsche 911 GT3 RS (type 997)minimum weight reduced by 30 kg “

  3. poor Westbrook/Collard they are battling for the GT2 drivers title, now with this penalty, they will strugle a little bit against their factory Ferrari drivers rivals Bruni/Vilander
