Article 38a of the sportif reglement says indeed that a modification to the crew has to be made before qualifying. A driver may not change car during the weekend. Probably the clerk of the meeting is of the opinion that a exclusion is an modification to the team.

Although I do not understand the part of the competition distortion, as it is allowed for one drive to race the main race. I thought that the minimum pitstop time was to prevent the distortion.

Anyway... Thank you for your explantion!

Bernhard Jr was excluded from the entire weekend as the crash in the Dieselcup he was involved in could have ended in a big drama. Fortunately it did not, but the crash happened at the Arie Luyendijk corner (Bos Uit), which is a very dangerous place, hence the heavy penalty.

GT4 regulations say that both Bernhard and Danny had to take part in the main race, as both had already done 1 race and 1 qualifying. With Bernhard being excluded from the weekend that was impossible, so the Corvette was not allowed to start

In the press conference after the race it was said that this was done in order to prevent competition distortion and would also have happened had 1 driver been injured or sth.

In other words, if you choose to enter 2 drivers, you will have to race 1 driver in each sprint race and both in the main race.

What I do not understand is, why Danny van Dongen and the Corvette team were excluded from the feature race.

The incident with Bernard Jr. was in the Tourincar Dieselcup and had nothing to do with the GT4. I understand that they excluded Bernard for the incident from GT4, as it was not the first accident this year.

The rules allow one driver to drive in the feature race, with a time penalty during the pitstop. Nothing unfair would have taken place, when Van Dongen would have driven the car.

My opinion is that a driver and team have had a penalty, for which they were not responsible. Can somebody explain the reason?
