Two LMP1 cars from a top team!? They don’t have to do Sebring to prove they belong in the 24h. If they put in an application they will be accepted. After all the ACO doesn’t want to shoot down sponsors that are THIS generous.

Their car was on pace with the Pescarolos and Orecas, and sometimes the factory Astons.

And during LeMans they had so much camera coverage whenever nicolas prost was driving. The son of one of their (french)driving heros Alain prost.

“The 2010 race program will focus on the Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans, where REBELLION RACING hopes that its two LMP1 will be selected. Other races under the “Le Mans” banner will be considered by the Swiss team depending on the final schedule of the Le Mans Series, which is not known at this time.”
In other words, if their is nothing going on during the same weekend, they will do sebring and petit to shoot for a chance to get into the 24.

Cool beautiful cars cool brand. Happy to see them next year, wonder if it would have been wise to keep the lmp2 doesn’t this, when having a long term view, increase experience with the future engine?

to be honest, with that many privateers pulling out of P1, Judd will probably take what they can get for the last year of these engines’ use.

That is great news.

Sebah won the 2004 and 2005 GT2 LMES GT2 title. The press release didn’t mention the technical specs of the new engine.

@Bamba: They have never used Aston Martin engines at Speedy.

In Asia Drayson Racing performed better in qualifying with the Judd Engine compared to the factory Lola-Aston Martin, so i would not be that sure the Aston-engine is the better deal.

This is good news for sports car racing. Hopefully it can inspire other sponsors. Judd must have been paid a handsome fee to take their names off the engines.

It’s hard to think this team used to lease one of the Spyker squadron cars, given their present level.

They should have stuck with the Aston Martin engine for one more year, since the following year everyone wil have to switch engines. P1 will use P2 engines in 2011.
