REBELLION Racing has completed its line up for the 2010 Le Mans Series season by signing Jean-Christophe Boullion. The French driver will team up with Andrea Belicchi in one of the two Lola-Rebellion cars this season. Boullion will also compete for REBELLION Racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Jean-Christophe Boullion was one of the fastest drivers in the 2009 Le Mans Series, racing for Pescarolo Sport last year. With the arrival of the Le Mans Series champion of 2005 and 2006 and vice-champion in 2009 the line-up of the Swiss team promises a lot for the upcoming season.
The news also brings fresh doubts about the 2010 plans of Henri Pescarolo.
This will be a very strong driver line-up. Boullion/Belicchi and Jani/Prost will guarantee the possibility to compete against the Kolles Audi’s and the Signature Lola-Aston. The no.1 favorite for the title will still be the ORECA Peugeot. The news make me wonder if we will see a Pescarolo team on the LMS grid in 2010 at all – I suppose OAK will just split their activity into one LMP1 and one LMP2 car, with 4 “paydrivers”.
seems that Pesca has gone… it’s a shame!
Well I still hope to given the fact gran turismo 5 will come out this year in europe they will support Henri once more. I would be very disappointed if GT5 won’t be a title sponsor on one or more le mans teams. You know I just won’t buy it if they don’t : )
Au revoir, Pescarolo Sport. Thanks for the memories guys. You will be missed.
This was sad news to discover. I wonder if pescarolo will be back. If yes, will they be a leading team…
