After a successful first season the Dutch GT4 Championship is set to kick off its second season on April 3. Seven races will form the 2010 season. Six events are to be held on the circuits in Assen and Zandvoort, while the Dutch GT4 Championship will also support the FIA GT1 World Championship at the Nürburgring.

As was the case in 2009 the season will start during the Easter weekend with the Gilette Paasraces at the Zandvoort circuit on April 3 and 5. Seven weeks later the second weekend is again to be held on the circuit in the dunes near Amsterdam, with the Profile Tyrecentre Pinksterraces on May 22 and 24.

Two weeks later the cars are back at Zandvoort for the third time and will be part of the Masters of Formula 3 weekend on June 5-6 for the first time ever.

Exactly one month later, on July 3-4, the Dutch GT4 Championship teams will be racing on a different track for the first time in 2010. The teams will be going to the Northern part of The Netherlands to race on the TT Circuit in Assen. The Formido Midzomerraces will be the fourth round of the season.

After the summer break it will be time for yet another circuit and all teams and drivers will be competing at the famous Nürburgring Grand Prix track. The race will be supporting the brand new FIA GT1 World Championship and the FIA GT2 European Championship at the German track. On August 28-29 the Dutch GT4 cars will be joined on the circuit by the teams competing in the European GT4 Cup.

Three weeks later (September 18-19) the Wijzonol Trophy brings back the action to Zandvoort and the season will come to an end on October 9-10 during the Formido Finaleraces, again at Zandvoort.

All race weekends, except for the Nürburgring weekend, will have 2 sprint races of 25 minutes as well as a 50 minute long feature race.

The organizers of the Dutch GT4 Championship hope to welcome at least twenty cars on the grid of the first race in April. Among them will be the Chevrolet Camaro as unveiled tonight by Equipe Verschuur as well as recently confirmed American Le Mans Series Porsche driver Jeroen Bleekemolen in a Chevrolet Corvette.
