ALMS teams with their bigger budgets and out of pocket costs don't take rejection well at all.

There are 6 or 7 cars in GT2 that expect an invite if they requested one. Possibly 8 if the Robertsons' fancied going to France for a couple weeks. And all those teams feels they have paid their dues, because the average ALMS teams spends well more (in its class) than the average LMS or FIA GT team to compete for a full season.

I could understand when Jim Tafel was upset when he was rejected the first time even though it was his first season, and Lou Gigliotti as well even though he never competed full time in his 2 years in the ALMS.

If 6, 7, or 8 GT2 cars in the ALMS wanted invites that would not leave much spot for cars from the FIA or LMS. So all of them can't be invited. Assuming 8 cars requested invites there will be some very upset heads when the announcement happens.
