Pierre Kaffer will join CRS Racing’s Pierre Ehret and Phil Quife in the first two races of the Le Mans Series at Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps as well as the official Le Mans Series Test Days at Paul Ricard early next month.

The German will add more strength to the British squad on its first year in the Le Mans Series and will seize the opportunity to get more track time in a Ferrari F430 GT2 prior to Le Mans. Kaffer won the Le Mans 24 Hours GT2 class in 2009 with Risi Competizione.

Kaffer will team up with Pierre Ehret again, the two raced together for Farnbacher Racing in 2008 and he is looking forward to the first two Le Mans Series races with CRS Racing.

“I have heard lots of positive things about CRS and I have known Andrew (Kirkaldy) for a long time,” said Kaffer. “It will be good to drive with Pierre (Ehret) again as we fit well together and I know we will have a lot of fun. From the outside the package looks good. Even though the entry list is very strong in GT2 this year I am confident we can have some good results.”

“It’s great for us to have Pierre driving with us,” said CRS Team Director, Andrew Kirkaldy. “GT2 is looking very competitive this year so we are pleased to have two very strong line-ups for CRS Racing’s first season in the Le Mans Series.”
